Oct 10 2011

Richmond County Bank is teaming up with motivational sports character Dewey Does, as a sponsor to the "What does Dewey Does do?" Stage Show.

The Dewey Does stage show has entertained and motivated thousands of youth in the Tri-state area. A character in a series of critically acclaimed videos and books for young people, Dewey Does is fast becoming an icon for youth health and fitness with his 110% stay fit and healthy message.

Educators in the Tri-state area have been responding enthusiastically to the stage show as well. Gerry Mosley of Shoot For Success Instruction in Staten Island stated the Dewey Does 110% message to eat right, exercise, stay active and how it ties into the success of our youth in sports and education has such a positive reinforcement to what parents, coaches and teachers say everyday. Gayle Hayward of Willingboro, NJ school system shared these thoughts. Dewey Does left a lasting impression on my students and definitely changed some of their eating habits. I was excited that a fictional character could have such a positive message.
By helping to financially support the stage event, Richmond County Bank has made it possible for ten selected elementary schools in district 31 to see the "What does Dewey Does do?" Stage Show produced by Aleray Studios and DeNatco, Youth-For-Action both located in Staten Island, New York.

Thomas Kinslow, entrepreneur and creator of Dewey Does says, Youth will follow a message with greater interest when the message is connected to a recognizable character that inspires and motivates both children and adults to exercise and Get Your Sports On! We are very grateful to Richmond County Bank for joining us as we educate young people through entertainment. Their commitment to the community is enabling us to work toward wellness for our young people.
