Yo, I’m Dewey Does, and let me tell you what happened the day a monster straight-up ate my sneaker, Fifth Gear! (This whole adventure is inspired by a true story.)
One morning I woke up ready to bounce, run, and play at 110%… but one of my kicks was gone. Just like that. A big, sneaky monster had taken Fifth Gear right from my bedroom in the middle of the night! Without both my sneakers I couldn’t move the way I love to move. No racing, no jumping, no sports fun. I felt stuck—like someone had taken away the thing that helped me feel strong and free.
That’s when me, aka Captain Does, and my crew, the Defenders of Doesville, stepped in. These sports-toy heroes didn’t just stand around. They jumped in with friendship, courage, and a whole lot of heart. Together we tracked down that monster, and learned big lessons about sticking together, looking out for each other, and never letting anyone (or anything) take away what helps us shine. We fought the bully-monster to get Fifth Gear back because here’s the truth: kids need their sneakers to stay active, stay fit, having fun, and defeat bullying of any kind. Both of their sneakers.
When we finally won Fifth Gear back, I put both Speedy and Fifth Gear on and took off running again—stronger, braver, and ready for whatever comes next. That’s how we do it in Doesville: we don’t let anyone leave us stuck. We move, we play, and we stand tall together!
